What are Fellowship Groups? Fellowship groups form an important part of St Peter's Church, because they allow us to support and encourage one another, in small groups, in our lives as Christians here in Didcot. Fellowship Groups meet in homes and within the church building and may include a meal, cup of coffee, Bible study and prayer. Groups are usually made up of about 6-12 people, including a leader. The diversity of St Peter's congregation is reflected in its Fellowship Groups; we have people from different backgrounds and of all ages. Home Groups meet fortnightly: mainly on Tuesday evenings at 8pm, and the Oasis Fellowship meets on the second Sunday of the month at 7pm in the church building. Our aims are to: - know Jesus better
- get to know each other better
- support each other in living a Christian life
we hope to achieve this by: studying scripture, to relate Biblical truth to our lives building relationships through friendship and discussion discussing ways to engage with the world in prayer, at work, etc. Joining a Fellowship Group If you would like to regularly attend a Fellowship Group, or would just like to come along to 'try it out' then we would love to hear from you. Contact Father Edward or another member of the ministry team to be put in touch with a Fellowship Group. |
