Young People

It's never too early for children to start learning about God and enjoying church. Youth Group, Sunday School and Tuesday Club are perfect for this. The youngsters are free to feel completely at home in a safe environment. And it's always great fun. Why not come and join us?

Tuesday Club with Little Fishes

This is a fun weekly service including play, lunch, and a church service for babies, toddlers and pre-school children (and their carers).

For more information please contact Rev'd Joy Carter.

Sunday School

Children are always welcome at St Peter's Church.

Sunday School is run during term time on the first and third Sundays in the month at 10am. This is great for children aged 2½ to 11, in two teaching groups. Younger children are also welcome, with a carer.

Sunday School runs during the first part of our 10am Sunday morning worship. The children come through to join the grown-ups towards the end of the service.

There is an opportunity to be confirmed on 5th February, and preparation for this will start soon. If you’re interested, please speak to Bevan.

Our big trip away of the year, Phasel’s Wood, will be from the 21 st-23 rd July 2012. We hope that all members can join us there. We are also planning a trip to Warwick Castle this summer.

Parents and families are welcome to join us for short services on 5 th January and 8 th March. These will start at 7pm and last for around 40 minutes.

The around the world night will be a chance to experience food and culture from a variety of different countries. If you can help us to organise this evening, please let us know.

We will meet at the pool for the swimming evening, please bring the appropriate money for entry.

On 9 th February we will have an optional session for Years 9 and over to discuss boy/girlfriend relationships and examine teaching in the Bible.

We will go ice-skating in Oxford and have a sleepover in the church hall on the night of 11/12 February. All members need to bring sleeping bags, pillows and comfortable bedding (roll mats, camp beds or inflatable mattresses). On the Sunday we will have breakfast and then attend the 10am service at St. Peter’s which the members will help to lead; you are all welcome to join us for the service.

For the bring and share hobbies night everyone who wants to will have a 5 minute slot to share their favourite interest or activity. Pictures, props and demonstrations are encouraged.

The Disco will be a new event for us. All members are welcome to bring 1 friend who is not a member, but we will need a list of names and contact numbers in advance. We ask that this event is not advertised beyond those invited as we cannot cater for more, and we expect high standards of behaviour from all attending.

For the cup cake night please can members bring along a small box of cup cakes if possible, we will decorate and eat these on the night.

The meal for parents will take place on 29 March, drinks from 7. We will send invitations in due course.
